About him
I am a widower who has recently retired and filling my time with adventures, socialising and diy. I like taking on new challenges, in the past two years I have started sailing and qualified as a day skipper. Three sailing holidays already arranged for this year! Hopefully more sailing fun to come. Maybe a share in a yacht one day! I favour outdoor activities to sitting around waiting the TV and am always on the go. Walking, hiking , cycling (not keen on road cycling these days with the awful potholes)! Have recently purchased a motorhome and had a few fun trips to France, Belgium and Holland. I also like a bit of luxury when it comes to travels so it’s not just roughing it on a small yacht or camping in a van that’s on my agenda. I’m looking forward exploring the Americas, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. I enjoy the theatre, art, eating out at interesting restaurants, music festivals and motorsport events. In fact my view on life is “never say no” and explore new things. Until you’ve tried it you don’t know if you like it or not. A lot of things I’ve tried I turn out to be rubbish at but have had fun giving them a go. I've got many like minded friends but would like to share life with a like minded special friend. I've got three daughters, one living with her partner, the other two at university and becoming increasingly independent!
I help out at a sailing charity that supports young people in developing independence and teamwork.

My ideal match would be a retired or semi-retired lady looking for new adventures, like’s the outdoors, the sea and travelling the world. Likes music, art, eating out and cooking at home. No need to have an interest in motor sport!
