About her
I am often described as a loyal, loving, caring and down to earth person. No matter what life has thrown at me I have always been optimistic and looked on the bright side. So here I am looking for someone compatible with me with whom I can share whatever life throws at us, whether it is joyful times or times filled with sadness and sorrow.
It will also be nice to share my interests, or at least some of them, with the right person. I love nature, especially plants, country walks, history, museums, reading, learning new things and some travelling in the UK or Europe.
I am particularly interested in exploring Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece and making an effort to improve my language skills.
At the same time though, I am also a home lover, quite happy watching an old film, a costume drama, a good documentary or pottering in the garden. Old movies, whether they are silent or the good old black and whites are my favourite, clever comedies or quality documentaries.
I look after my appearance and I dress appropriately depending on the occasion. I feel equally comfortable dressing up for a special occasion or in my wellingtons when I doing the gardening.
About her ideal match
Kindness and loyalty are firstly what I am looking for in a good match. A sense of humour will definitely be appreciated as well as the willingness to give and receive affection. Being a little old fashioned myself, I would be thrilled if my ideal partner sometimes surprises me with small acts of thoughtfulness and demonstrate how much he cares for me. I would like a man who is a gentleman, treats me with respect and consideration.
Also I would prefer if he feels quite comfortable to share with me whatever concerns him because I believe that talking openly is fundamental for a healthy and loving relationship.
As I already mentioned, I love reading so I wouldn't mind at all if he is happens to be another bookworm.
An interest in art and history will be appreciated as well as the desire to learn new things. Finally, as I am very much interested in southern Europe I would be delighted if he is happy to explore them with me and, even better, if he has some knowledge of another European language. Travelling in these countries together, or anywhere else in Europe would be nice.
However I believe that "East or west, home is best". Travelling is ok but nothing beats being at home.
Arrogance, laziness and a selfish attitude would certainly put me off straight away as well as a drunken behaviour and smoking.
