About him
I’m lucky to be in a good place in life. I think I have achieved many things, and still have an interesting and very responsible job which I love. I live in a wonderful city, with great friends around. My son is in his 20s and happy and settled in life in another great part of the country. I have travelled a lot, and still do. I love languages, good food, hiking, road trips in Europe. Although I understand it’s a bit of a negative on dating websites, I also like motorbikes - not a mid-life crisis “born again biker”, I’ve never been without one since 17. Entirely relaxed if you’re not remotely into them.
I think friends would say I’m someone with old-fashioned good manners, but funny and not in the least stuffy. They would/do also say I’m reasonable looking but not to an extent that it becomes annoying. Oh, and into kindness - mine and others’. They would also say I’m not as arrogant as this self-promoting description might sound.

Well, I’ve learnt that “ideal” people don’t exist, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t many wonderful people out there. I’ve also learnt that it’s neither possible or desirable for a partner to share all your interests, but sharing a few of them is obviously important. Non-negotiables are integrity, kindness and a sense of fun (wokeness a big turn-off).
